Curtis Sets World’s Largest Poster Record in 1983

It was 1983, and Curtis Industries was located in Eastlake Ohio, which had a large expanse of lawn in front of the building. To celebrate the company’s “President’s Weeks” sales promotion, the company used that lawn space to create the world largest poster (verified by the Guinness Book of World Records), which was 150 X 90 feet (13,500 square feet). Since the front lawn was usually filled with droves of Canada geese, the poster was also known by some to be the world’s largest piece of goose toilet paper.

Here’s an aerial photo of the poster from 1983. (Click on the image for a larger view.)
